Long triangle 18 century physics lab prism with cade
It is a prism used in College Physics Lab. to study the refraction of light.
Somewhere there is a metal stand used for mounting and rotating
the prism .We dont't have it.
The prism is 9 in. long and just under 1.5 inches tall.It has some normal wear but no chips.
The case looks like leather, and very old which makes one wonder about the age of the prism.
It has been purchased in U.S.A., but originally might have been from
Europe ,ex Italy.
Total weight 422 gr.
Weight prism :388gr.
transfered to Niagara Science Museun
