to space photographs and to the landscape we know
The image is the result of ARC Science Simulation's Global
Image Project,an effort to develop a photorealistic global model of
the Earth from satelite data at 1-km per pixel resolution.
The data is from the polar orbiting NOAA-11 satelite and its imager.
The date is April-June of 1992
It seems coarse 1-km satellite image ,when the news shows 1m
and 5m..satellite images.---except it's the whole world
The master image is a 2GB file
If printed at 100dpi ,this poster vould be 30feet across.
